This 10.4″ replacement monitor replaces monitors in AMADA OPERATEUR HFE trimming presses.
Amada HFE replacement LCD monitor
The TFT monitor is designed to be electronically and mechanically compatible to the original Amada control and can therefore be swapped out easily with a few “Plug & Play” steps.
The industrial monitor is supplied as a chassis-mounted version with non-reflecting glass. It will be connected with a 3-rowed 15 pin HD D-SUB video connector. The matching adapter cable and a VGA cable are supplied with the monitor.

Depending on the model of monitor fitted to your Amada Operateur HFE machine (e.g. the 80-25), if the display fails, it may not necessary to replace the complete monitor. Contact us on 01438-362897 and we will discuss the options with you.
The fault will typically be one or more of the followings: a bad LCD display panel; a faulty backlight inverter board; a broken backlight.
Things to check on your Amada Operateur HFE machine:
- Look very carefully at the display with the machine powered on.
- Is the screen completely blank or can you see a faint image or text? Shine a bright torch on the screen to help reveal any images.
- If the display is completely blank this typically means the display panel is faulty. We can supply a replacement.
- If text or images can be seen it means the display is OK and does not need replacing. The fault will be a bad backlight inverter board and/or a broken backlight. The easiest thing to replace first is the backlight inverter. We can supply a replacement. We recommend replacing the backlight inverter anyway, whenever the backlight itself is faulty, if the machine has been used for many hours.
Blank Display
- Power off the machine and wait 2 minutes for the power to drain.
- Remove the metal back cover on the monitor to reveal the LCD display panel.
- Carefully remove any cables that get in the way.
- Make a note of the manufacturers name and model number on the back of the LCD display panel. Contact us with these details, and ideally provide a photo of the back of the LCD panel showing the location of the connectors.
- If you prefer, you can send the complete monitor to us and we will perform the repair for you.
Faulty Backlight Inverter
Typical Backlight Inverter
- Power off the machine and wait 2 minutes for the power to drain.
- Locate the backlight inverter board that is mounted on the rear of the monitor – small, narrow board with “High Voltage” warning label.
- Take a photo of the complete backlight inverter, clearly showing the connectors with the cables attached.
- Unplug the connectors and remove the mounting screws.
- Take a note of the manufacturers name and parts numbers, usually on the underside of the board.
- Contact us with these details.
Faulty Backlight
- Replace the backlight inverter board first. If the backlight(s) still do not come on, it will be necessary to replace the backlight(s).
- Power off the machine and wait 2 minutes for the power to drain.
- Remove the metal back cover on the monitor to reveal the LCD display panel.
- Unscrew the 4 mounting screws at each corner of the LCD panel.
- Carefully pull out the backlight from the side of the panel. Follow the pink and white wires from the inverter board to find the location of the backlights.
- Take a photo of the backlight and measure the length of it.
- Contact us with the details – we do not stock blacklights but can help you locate a source to purchase them.
- If you prefer, you can send the complete monitor to us and we will perform the repair for you.

The replacement monitor has 24 months warranty. This is backed by our UK based after sales service to give you complete peace of mind on your purchase. If you purchase just the LCD panel or backlight inverter board, these have a 6 month warranty.
